I&#8217;ve found that the best way to do it is rather than bookmarking the site (only to find it&#8217;s been taken down or changed) I take a screenshot of it and make a folder in iPhoto (on the Mac) or Picasa or Adobe Albums (on the PC) and store it there for quick, easy access.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marcusvorwaller.com\/weblog\/archives\/Picture%201.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marcusvorwaller.com\/weblog\/archives\/Picture%201-tm.jpg?resize=238%2C150\" height=\"150\" width=\"238\" border=\"1\" align=\"middle\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"iPhoto Design Shots\" title=\"iPhoto Design Shots\" longdesc=\"A picture of iPhoto with several screenshots\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSomething that has helped keep me motivated is having good tools to quickly and effortlessly take screenshots.  I use:\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marcusvorwaller.com\/weblog\/images\/Picture%202.jpg?resize=28%2C30\" height=\"30\" width=\"28\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Paparazzi\" title=\"Paparazzi\" longdesc=\"Paparazzi Icon\" \/>1. <a href=\"http:\/\/0x.se\/paparazzi\/\">Paparazzi<\/a> &#8211; This program lets you take screen captures of the entire webpage &#8211; whether or not it fits on the screen without scrolling.  A very simple, useful, well done (free) tool.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marcusvorwaller.com\/weblog\/images\/Picture%203.jpg?resize=31%2C30\" height=\"30\" width=\"31\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Freesnapz\" title=\"Freesnapz\" \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n2. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.efritz.net\/software.html\">Freesnap<\/a> &#8211; Another simple, functional (more general usage) screen capture program.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n3. <strong>Shift + Command + 4 + Space<\/strong> &#8211; the OS X shortcut to take a screenshot of just a window.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n4. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mirekw.com\/winfreeware\/mwsnap.html\">MWSnap<\/a> &#8211; A great, free windows screenshot utility.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAlso, since I recently discovered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.furl.net\/index.jsp\">Furl<\/a>, I&#8217;m considering also using that service as a way to save actual HTML copies of sites in a centrally accessible location.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most helpful tricks I&#8217;ve learned as a web designer has been to save copies of good designs for future inspiration.
